Archaeological finds of Margiana in Маnnheim

Archaeological exhibition named “Maргиана – kingdom of the epoch of Bronze Age in the territory of Turkmenistan” is carried out about a year in Federal Republic of Germany. At the beginning the exhibition has been organized in the New Museum of Berlin city, then – in the Archaeological museum of Hamburg city. Now this exhibition has started to have guests in the Museum Reiss-Engelhorn of Mannheim city. Inauguration of the exhibition has taken place on the 9-th of March. In its opening participated art and cultural workers of Turkmenistan, representatives of mass media, and German scientists, historians, archaeologists, correspondent and townsmen. The exhibition was opened with the words of greeting by the director of a museum of History and local lore of Mary province Tоrе Nobatov, then the floor was given to the director of a museum of Ancient and protohistory of Berlin city of Federal Republic of Germany Mattias Wemchoff, the general director of a complex of Museums Reiss-Engelhorn of Mannheim city of Federal Republic of Germany Аlfred Wichorek, the director of a complex of Museums Museums Reiss-Engelhorn of Mannheim city of Federal Republic of Germany Susanna Wichert.

The speakers have told about secrets of kingdom Маrgiana, which was prospering more than 4000 years ago in the south of Turkmenistan. There has been told many interesting things about architecture, which testifies that it was the same centre of culture beyond Caspian sea, as well as Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt,   about works of handicraftsmen from various raw materials, in general about the people living in III-II millenia B.C.

The director of museum of Mannheim city told about his intention to carry out some cultural events within the network of the exhibition named “Maргиана - kingdom of the epoch of Bronze Age in the territory of Turkmenistan”.
