“Children —The Succession of Generations”

Today, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted an exhibition entitled “Children —The Succession of Generations”. It is dedicated to one of the most important values of our people – raising children and the succession of generations. This thematic exhibition, organized with the participation of cultural and artistic figures, as well as museum specialists, once again vividly demonstrated the great importance our people place on the upbringing of the younger generation. The exhibition was distinguished by its purely creative, scientific, educational, and communicative character. The exhibition featured a very engaging discussion about the role of children in the succession of generations and in society, a history rooted in millennia. It was noted that the upbringing school, beginning with the care of our loving mothers, combined with the life experiences of our ancestors, has shaped an advanced generation throughout history. The speakers emphasized that the birth of a child in a Turkmen family signifies the beginning of a new branch of the family tree and the succession of the people, and thus a child is the greatest treasure for each family, as well as for the entire state. The philosophical thinking and impressive speeches delivered at the exhibition were further illustrated by the historical exhibits on display. Visitors were introduced to children’s jewelry from the 19th and 20th centuries, exquisitely crafted for children in the past. These pieces, specially crafted by jewelers at the request of mothers as amulets to protect their children from the evil eye or as talismans wishing them health and happiness, highlight the deep respect for children in the art of national jewelry. Thanks to rare photographs taken from written sources and archival documents, visitors to the exhibition discovered a wealth of valuable information, learning about the living conditions, play, and family relationships of Turkmen children throughout history. Furthermore, among the souvenir collection on display at the exhibition, national children's clothing was of particular interest to visitors. Children’s dresses, skullcaps, and robes, embroidered by talented hands and warmed by the hearts of dear mothers, created a unique world of color at the exhibition. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, it was noted that in the epoch of the Revival of the Powerful State, thanks to the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, all the conditions are being created for the growth of healthy, educated, and professionally trained people. This impressive cultural event not only demonstrated historical treasures but also served as a true example of the Turkmen culture of upbringing, which begins in the cradle and develops into a school of courage and bravery. The exhibition was opened by senior researcher in the ethnography department of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan Novcha Orazberdyeva. Then the floor was given to director of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan Meretgeldi Charyev; founder and director of the private enterprise "Mahirli Zenan"Ayna Durdylyeva; Honored Artist of Turkmenistan and host of the; editor of the "Zenan Kalby" magazine Yazgul Annaeva; Instructor at the Ashgabat Construction Vocational School Dunyagozel Babakulyeva.
