The problem of studying and popularization of glorious history and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people from the modern point of view and its distribution all over the world is one of the basic directions of the peace-loving policy carried out by our honourable President. It is still more important to preserve archaeological monuments, a national heritage and the cultural beauty marked in history by golden letters, testifying to history of mankind in the beautiful Turkmen land. It increases respect of our people to the history, material and cultural heritage.
At the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan has taken place the international scientific conference on a theme «Historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan in the spotlight of the world community», and within the network of event has been organized an exhibition of the archaeological values, which help to solve mysterious historical events. A celebration has begun with speech about acceptance of the «Government program on preservation, protection, studying and attraction of tourists to objects of national, historical and cultural heritage for 2022-2028» and the guests have taken part in presentation of book "Antiquity of Turkmenistan: research and restoration works in monuments ".
Monuments of our country help the scientists studying material culture of mankind, to unravel mysteries hidden in depths of history, to clear up character of an ancient cultural contact and their place in world history and please with their rich finds. At the exhibition named «Indelible traces of history» organized at the State museum, are presented museum values, concerning the ancient times, an antiquity and medieval history of Turkmenistan, and photos of historical monuments as well. Books about glorious history of our people, about preservation of history and about the bright future, full of the artistic sense, illustrated by the exciting photos, describing development of our country, have also made the big impression on participants of conference.
In the afternoon at the State museum has begun work plenary session of the international scientific conference «Historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan in the spotlight of the world community», where have taken part Turkmen scientists and have been heard representatives of foreign scientific institutes, scientists and archaeologists.
Charlo Lippolis, director of the centre of archaeological research of Torino, Italy, Doctor of archaeology, professor, laureate of Magtymguly International prize have acted with a theme «Sisitem of water supply in Old Nisa fortress», director of N.N. Micloucho-Maklay Institute of ethnology and anthropology, Doctor of historical science, professor Dmitry Funk – «Russian-Turkmen scientific relations», main research officer of the National Museum of Natural History of France, Doctor of archaeology Julio Bendesi-Sarmenton «Discovery Turkmen-French expedition in Ulug-depe monument», research officer of George Washington University in St. Louis, USA, Doctor Lenny Mari Rose with a theme «Studying of monuments of nomadic culture of the Bronze Age along an ancient riverbed of the Murgab», main research officer of N.N. Micloucho-Maklay Institute of ethnology and anthropology, Doctor of historical science, Nadezhda Dubova with a theme «Recent archaeological discoveries in Gonurdepe monument», Doctor of archaeology, professor of Bologna University Barbara Cerazetti, Italy «Monuments of Bronze and early Iron Age of the north part of Merv oasis», Тim Williams, professor of London University of the United Kingdom and expert of UNESCO International council on protection of monuments and sights (IKOMOS), made a report on theme «Studying and protection of monuments of Меrv». After a panel discussion there were continued reports in sections.
Meeting of the third section named «The role of historical and cultural monuments in development of tourist system in Turkmenistan» has taken place at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan. Then participants of the international scientific conference «Historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan in the spotlight of the world community» accepted an Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
