On the 19-th of May 2021 by the Ministry of culture of Turkmenistan at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was carried out a celebration on the occasion of transfer to the museum of the splendid sample of a national applied arts – cape, sewed by the mother of the honourable President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov Ogulabat-eje and knitted patterned half-hose. Cultural workers, representatives of public organizations and students of Turkmen State institute of culture participated in the celebration.
Research fellows of themuseum have told about national traditions of Turkmens, national woman's outerwear, especially about art of manufacturing cape and embroidery. Specialists have told a lot of interesting that Ogulabat-eje has sewed this cape and has knitted patterned half-hose in 1971 for the sister-in-law in 20 days. There was told much about needlework and handling of Ogulabat-eje and was noticed with pride that shehas shown an exemplary sample, having passed these values to the museum. There also was been told that the national traditions originating in ancient days, now have worthy continuation.
Participants of a celebration, having seen cape and knitted patterned half-hose made by the hands of mother of the honourable President, have told about their impressions.
Transfer of cape and half-hose to the museum is the big contribution to enrichment of store-houses of the museum, and popularization of a national heritage as well.
