On the 1-st of April 2021 at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan together with the Nature preservation society of Turkmenistan was carried out inauguration of the exhibition named «Birds of our land» devoted to the International Bird Day. In this event participated well-known people of the country, lecturers and students of higher educational institutions, specialists of Nature preservation society of Turkmenistan and workers of reserves.
The inauguration was opened by the manager of the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Meretgeldi Charyyev. Then the floor was given to the head of Administration of environmental protection and hydrometeorology of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection, ornithologist, candidate of biological science Jumamyrat Saparmyradov, head of department of animal breeding of S.A.Nyyazov Turkmen agricultural university Saparmyrat Annamukhamedov, lecturer of the faculty of biology of Magtymguly Turkmen State university, candidate of biological science Chemen Kuliyeva and inspector of Nature preservation society of Turkmenistan Gulnar Charyyarova.
At the opening of the exhibition scientists have told about history of celebrating of the International Bird Day in Turkmenistan, about the birds, which occur in our country, about activity on protection of the animal world, biodiversity and unique natural complexes of Turkmenistan and the policy carried out in this direction by the honourable President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
In the action of children of the staff of the museum with a composition “The disappeared birds” the guests were told about birds, which have disappeared from the Earth man-caused.
In the course of the action have been summed up competitions on the birds, carried out in February and March of this year among students and pupils of Ashgabat city in the State museum of Turkmenistan. In competition participated 343 people. Winners of testing have been awarded by letter of commendation, booklet of the State museum of Turkmenistan and souvenirs from Nature preservation society of Turkmenistan.
Then the guests acquainted with the exhibition and had a look at the values exposed here. At the exhibition were presented various stuffed birds, which occur in Turkmenistan, their eggs, nests. The exhibition is also adorned with jewellery compositions, figurines, pictures and carpet pictures, through them were shown the variety of birds and their beauty. A sufficient place is given to scientific literature and fiction and magazines about birds as well. Here are also located portraits of ornithologists of the country. At the exhibition you can see pictures of various birds presented by the inhabitants of Ashgabat city, variety of parrots and stuffed birds, temporarily given by Nature preservation society of Turkmenistan.
