On the 5-th of November 2020 in honour of a Harvest Holiday at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was organized an exhibition under the name «The abundance of gold autumn». Harvest Holiday, which is annually celebrated in the country on the second Sunday of November - obvious demonstration of the fact that the state pays great attention to the of work peasants of Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, who grow up wheat, cotton and others agricultural production, including melons and watermelons. President of Turkmenistan tells about this: «Harvest holiday is compliment paid to the honest labour of Turkmen daykhans at the state level».
The exposition is divided into three thematic parts. The first section is devoted to the history of development of agriculture in our country. The revealing of the first signs of settled agriculture in the Central Asia near Jeytun village near Ashgabat is an important historical event. In 1904 the American scientist R.Pampelli has found out on hills of Anau grains of white wheat dated by the fourth millenium B.C.
The second section is devoted to the development of agriculture in Turkmenistan in 30-50-s of the ХХ century. In photo of those years are shown women working in a cotton field, a harvest season selfless labour of rural workers. In the course of the exhibition are exhibited the works of artists glorifying a rich crop of wheat, cotton and other agricultural products during the years of Independence, documentary photography, carpets and carpet products, five saddle-bags adorned with patterns of provinces and filled with cotton, the sheaves of wheat that mean food abundance of Turkmen people.
Тhe exhibition was opened by the head of department of Nature and Local Lore of the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Enedjan Altyyeva with words of greeting. Then the floor was given to the specialist of the division on organizing and political matter of Ashgabat State committee of Agrarian party of Turkmenistan Akjemal Sukhanova, head of division of selection and seed growing of grain crops and leguminous of scientific production centre of the Agricultural Institute of Turkmenistan, candidate of agricultural science Guljemal Taylakova, senior staff scientist of the National Istitute of Desert, the vegetable and animal worlds of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan Aky Yarashev, research officer of the National Istitute of Desert, the vegetable and animal worlds of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan Maral Sakhatova, lecturer of the department of agricultural chemistry and soil science pf the faculty of agricultural ecology of S.A.Nyyazov Тurkmen agricultural university Myratberdi Chopanov, subeditor of «Garagum» magazine Nurtach Annamukhammedova, director of animal husbandry department of S.A.Nyyazov Тurkmen agricultural university Saparmyrat Annamuлhamedoм, senior lecturer of the faculty of processing of agricultural production of S.A.Nyyazov Тurkmen agricultural university Yazgeldi Saryyev.
Their interesting and emotional speeches were met with prolonged applause. Then the guests get acquainted with the exhibition «The abundance of gold autumn» and listened to the information of museum staff.
