In honour of the Memorial Day is organized the exhibition named «Sacred memory»

 

On the 5-th of October 2020 at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was organized the exhibition named «Sacred memory» in honour of the Memorial Day. In the opening of the exhibition participated well-known people of our country.

Thanks to the care of the honourable President, our people get large-scale opportunities for continuation of the course that comes from our ancestors, to remember those who has left this world forever. One of tragic dates for Turkmen people is the 6-th of October, when has happened a terrible earthquake of 1948. As acknowledgement we should mention the Memorial Day annually carried out on the 6-th of October at the state level. This day has died thousands of people under blockage of houses, hundreds of families have lost their hearth and home. The tragedy concerned every inhabitant of Ashgabat city and neighbouring territory. Besides human casualties, the state has lost its unique architectural monuments, a lot of written sources, archaeological finds and ethnographic values. It is the shocking natural cataclysm, which has carried away lives of many people, lives in memory of generations up to now.

At the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan is also organized the exhibition named «Sacred memory» in honour of the Memorial Day. At the exhibition, which consists of four sections, are exhibited museum values of the storehouses of the museum. The exhibition is opened with the wise words of the honourable President and fine souvenir compositions of Turkmen jewellers as well. In the course of the exhibition are also presented photos of Ashgabat city before earthquake. Here you can see photos of ruins of Ashgabat city made after that awful event. Then there are photos representing people, who has survived after natural disaster, who have shown courage in rescue of victims, doctors and other medical workers, who has arrived to help at the hard time.      The people have gone through awful tragedy with dignity and have restored fine shape of Ashgabat. Photos of modern white marble Ashgabat, which became a pearl of the Central Asia, thanks to tireless care of the honourable President, are the pride of the exhibition. These are fine buildings, amusement parks, monuments, and souvenir compositions in the form of architectural monuments as well.

The exhibition named «Sacred memory» organized at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan in honour of the Memorial Day was opened by the manager of the museum, candidate of historical science Ovezmukhammet Mammetnurov. Then the floor was given to the senior staff scientist of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Kakadjan Bayramov, senior lecturer of the department of art history of the faculty of applied arts of Turkmen State Academy of Fine Arts, Honoured Art Worker of Turkmenistan Azaт Annayev, senior lecturer of the department of social science of the Institute of Institute of International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Tachnabat Paytykova, the 1 class librarian of the State library of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan, Honoured Cultural Worker of Turkmenistan Oguljemal Orazdurdyyeva.
