Standard of devotion

Annually on the last Sunday of October in Ashgabat city and in all the parts of the country are solemnly carried out the numerous cultural actions devoted to well- known breed of Turkmen alabais, theoretical and practical conferences mentioning the important problems of dog breeding, exhibitions and creative competitions on the description of alabai in fine arts and decorative and applied arts, concerts and other actions for popularization of breed of alabais all over the world, development and perfection of dog breeding in the country. On the 23rd of October 2025 in the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan is organized the exhibition named “Standard of devotion”, devoted to the holiday of Turkmen alabai. At the exhibition is possible to see presented to Hero Arkadag, the honourable President jewelry glorifying then era of Revival of a new epoch of the powerful state, Independence, Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the National flag, Turkmen alabais. The special place is given to the picture carpets presented to the honourable President. The harmonious image of Turkmen alabai along with carpet gels means, that it takes the big place in a life of the Turkmens. Here are artistically shown endurance, reliability, selflessness, devotion, goodwill - nice features of alabai. Among the picture carpets is possible to see a carpet “National tourist zone Avaza” where freely walks about Turkmen alabai, Turkmen yurta protected by alabai against the background of Turkmen nature. Besides that, in show-cases are placed archaeological finds, the clay figurines of dogs concerning III-II millenia, the Middle Ages, stored in the State museum. Various video-and photographic images of Turkmen alabais give the exhibition still more attractiveness. The exhibition was opened and conducted by the senior research officer of the division of fine arts of the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Rejepov. Then the floor was given to the chairman of Mary velayat centre of the international association “Turkmen alabais” Atamyrat Suleymanov, the chairman of Dashoguz velayat centre of the international association “Turkmen alabais”председатель Haldurdy Gochov, senior lieutenant of the State border service of Turkmenistan Serdar Batyrov, lecturer of Turkmen State architectural institute, chairman of the primary women’s organization Gurbangozel Gulamova, lecturer of Turkmen State architectural institute Guljemal Jennelova, lecturer of Turkmen State architectural institute Akgul Bailyeva, third year student of Turkmen State border service institute Ilaman Satlykov, who told a lot of interesting about alabai.
