At the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was carried out theoretical and practical conference named “Turkmen art of embroidery – our national heritage” and organized an exhibition within its network

Protection and popularization of a historical and cultural heritage of our people is one of the important directions of the state policy carried out by the honourable President. One of the ancient useful arts, which have brought a contribution into development of world culture, national art of embroidery of the Turkmen people, takes a special place. The embroidery, being one of the ancient kinds of applied art, has got a wide spread occurrence among women. In the past our skilled woman have found beautiful samples for an embroidery, have skillfully combined paints and transferred patterns on a cloth and have created a lot of kinds of national clothes. In their art of embroidery they have given patterns the beauty of the nature. Women have not only showed the beauty of the nature by patterns, but expressed their dreams as well.

Transfer to the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan in May 2021 of a cape, embroidered by the mother of hero Arkadag Ogulabat eje in 1971 and, which is considered to be the standard of embroidery, has filled our hearts with inexhaustible pride. This product made by Ogulabat eje is an example for imitation for Turkmen women, especially, for young girls. The art of the mother, which is the higher sample of the embodiment of a nationality like the patch of light from the past lights up our prosperous epoch. It represents new fine shades of an applied art.
