Museum of “Neutrality” Branch
The monument of Neutrality was opened and put into operation on the 12th of December 2011 to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality. In a ceremony attended by presidents of several countries and heads of senior missions to celebrate the International Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality, was held in the restored monument of Neutrality.
In accordance with the decree of the President of Turkmenistan on the 28th of April 2011 was established the Museum of “Neutrality” branch. It is part of the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan and is located in the monument of Neutrality. This building has a unique architectural structure. The building's façade has relief bands. Each band consists of three zones. The first zone depicts images from the Oguz Khan era, the ancient Parthian Empire, and the Gok Turkmen era. The second zone shows images of the great Seljuk Turkmen, Gorkut Ata era, and figures such as Gorogly and Magtymguly. The third section shows images dedicated to the great achievements of the new Revival. This monument is 95 metres high. The overall diameter of the monument of Neutrality is 100 metres. The multitiered building, erected on a pedestal, is shaped like a three-legged arch and rests on three enormous columns. It is decorated with vibrant images in the colours of the sky, the colours of peace. The Museum of Neutrality is located on the ground floor. All information in the museum exhibition is presented on touchscreen monitors.
The exhibition hall of the “Baky yoly” building on the eastern side of the Neutrality park zone presents comprehensive information on the positive international policy of neutrality pursued by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, as part of our country's foreign policy towards many countries, as well as on effective friendly and fraternal relations. The exhibition hall of the monument of Neutrality, located on the western side of the Neutrality park zone, presents comprehensive information on the two main areas of our country's foreign policy: bilateral and multilateral diplomacy, as well as diplomatic relations with many countries via QR codes. Here are also presented numerous government awards and valuable exhibits.
